A Maximum Term Employee is employed for a maximum term for a specific task or project on either a full-time or part-time basis for a period of three months or more. Salary Packaging is available to Maximum Term Employees (refer to clause H3). The Employer may employ Maximum-Term Employees where such employment is necessary to meet the genuine operational requirements of the Employer, including, but not limited to: • the temporary replacement of Employees on leave (including parental leave); • limited term funding arrangements; • long-term relief; • anticipated service reductions; • the temporary provision of specialist skills that are required within the organisation; or • to fill short term vacancies during the recruitment and selection process resulting from the cessation of employment of a permanent Employee.

  • Term Employee Term employee means a new person employed without seniority for a specific time period or until the completion of a particular project in compliance with funding provided for that position or project. At the expiry of said term the employment of such employee shall be terminated unless the term employee is immediately hired as a full-time or part-time employee at which time the term employee's original starting date shall be utilized to establish their seniority.
