Operational Support Systems definition

Operational Support Systems means the computer systems on which a Person depends for providing management support of all of its operations, including service delivery and provision, network usage and control, billing of customers, network planning, fraud identification, resource planning and facility management.
Operational Support Systems means those support systems carrying out the functions and processes which help to run a network and business, including (but not limited to) pre-ordering, taking a customer’s order, configuring network components, creating a bill and managing faults.

More Definitions of Operational Support Systems

Operational Support Systems or “OSS” are as defined by 47 CFR 51.319(g) and as interpreted in the rules and orders of the FCC. “OSS Interfaces” are defined as existing or new gateways (including application-to-application interfaces and Graphical User Interfaces), connectivity and system functions that support or affect the pre-order, order, provisioning, maintenance and repair, and billing capabilities for local services (local exchange services) provided by CLECs to their end users. “Qwest Corporation” and “Qwest” refer to Qwest Corporation and its successors and assigns.

Related to Operational Support Systems

  • Technical Support Services means the technical support and maintenance Services provided by us according to our then-current technical support policy and procedure listed at xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx (“Technical Support Policy”) when the Services are purchased.

  • Operations Support Systems (OSS means the suite of functions which permits CLEC to interface to the ILEC for pre-ordering, ordering, provisioning, maintenance/ repair and billing as described in the Attachment 07 – Operations Support Systems (OSS) herein.

Such System Software includes, but is not restricted to, micro-code embedded in hardware (i.e., “firmware”), operating systems, communications, system and network management, and utility software.
