Under the FOI Act, members of the public can seek access to documents held by the Australian Government.
The CEO will advise the member of the public that the information may be sought in accordance with the FOI Act 1992.
This right of access is limited only by the exceptions and exemptions necessary to protect essential public interests and private and business affairs of persons in respect of whom the information relates.If someone requests a document under the FOI Act, we will release it (though we may need to consult with you and/or other parties first) unless it meets one of the exemptions set out in the FOI Act.
