Designed means planned, purposed, or conducted to apply to phenomena outside the observed data, or to contribute to generalizeable knowledge.
Designed means (wherever it is included in the text of the code) that the design work shall be performed by a licensed professional engineer or other licensed professional that is registered to practice in New York State and is qualified within the scope of their professional license to perform that type of design.
Designed means specified to be operated in a specific manner as defined in an Inmarsat System Definition Manual.
