Noise definition

Noise means two times the root mean square of ten standard deviations, each calculated from the zero responses measured at a constant frequency which is a multiple of 1,0 Hz during a period of 30 seconds.
Noise means the standard deviation of the fluctuations in CTN expressed as a percentage of the attenuation coefficient of water. Its estimate (Sn) is calculated using the following expression:
Noise means any sound which disturbs humans or which causes or tends to cause an adverse psychological or physiological effect on humans.

More Definitions of Noise

Noise means the standard deviation of the fluctuations in CTN expressed as a percentage of the attenuation coefficient of water. Its estimate (Sn) is calculated using the following expression:100 × CS × sSn = mw where:CS = Linear attenuation coefficient of the material of interest. mw = Linear attenuation coefficient of water.s = Estimated standard deviation of the CTN of picture elements in a specified area of the CT image.
Noise means unwanted sound;
Noise means any undesirable sound that is intrinsically objectionable or that may cause adverse effects on human health or the environment;
Noise means the intensity, duration and character of sounds from any and all sources.
Noise means any unwanted or damaging sound;
Noise means sound capable of producing occupational deafness.
Noise as used in this section, means a noise level that meets or exceeds damage-risk criteria established by the present standard for occupational noise exposure established by the federal occupational safety and health administration.
