Academic Member definition

Academic Member means a Member Entitled to Hold Office who in the reasonable opinion of the Board is, or was during a significant portion of their career, principally engaged in either research or formal teaching or another scholarly undertaking in a field of psychology for or in conjunction with a higher education institution;

Academic Member means a Member that is an entity that is a university, college, cegep or research institution in Canada recognized as eligible for federal funding according to the rules of eligibility outlined by the Canadian Tri-Council;

Academic Member means a member of Council who has been Selected from among registrants who are Faculty;

Examples of Academic Member in a sentence

• Each Educational and Academic Member, while in good standing, shall be entitled to: (a) subject to such limitations as the Board of Directors may define in its sole discretion from time to time, appoint non-voting representatives to participate as observers in each Working Group established by the Corporation; (b) access to all Standards; and (c) the rights specified in Section 2.6(e) above.

• Each panel of the Registration Committee that assesses academic credentials has an Academic Member of Council who has been appointed by the representatives of graduate psychology programs of Ontario universities.

• No Fellow, Academic Member or Practice Member of a College may be elected to more than one (1) position on the National Committee.

• The quorum for a general meeting of a College will be ten (10) persons holding the grades of Fellow, Academic Member or Practice Member of a College who are personally present and entitled to vote.

More Definitions of Academic Member

Academic Member means a member of An tÚdarás who, at the time of his appointment as such member, held an academic post;

Academic Member means a person complying with the criteria set out in Article F6(a) who has been admitted to membership of the Small Cell Forum and entered in the Register of Members in such capacity and a reference to “Academic Members” shall mean all of the Members in that capacity from time to time;“Act”means the Companies Act 2006;“Affiliate”means in respect of a Member, a company which is its subsidiary or holding company or a company (other than the Member itself) which is a subsidiary of that holding company (where the terms “subsidiary” and “holding company” have the meanings set out the Act);“Anti Trust and Competition Law Policy”means the Small Cell Forum’s Anti Trust and Competition Law Policy (as amended and adopted by the Executive Board from time to time);“Annual Fee”means the fee payable in each Membership Year by each Member or any category of Members as set by the Executive Board from time to time;“Application Form”means the form of application for membership of the Small Cell Forum as prescribed by the Executive Board from time to time, including the attached schedule (the current version of which is attached as Annex 2);“Brand Guidelines”means the guidelines and regulations relating to the use of the intellectual property rights of the Small Cell Forum (as amended and adopted by the Executive Board from time to time);“Business Day”means any day (other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in the United Kingdom) on which clearing banks in the City of London are generally open for business;“Chair”means the chairperson of the Small Cell Forum from time to time appointed in accordance with the provisions of, and having the rights and responsibilities set out in, Articles J22 and J27;“CEO”means the chief executive officer of the Small Cell Forum from time to time appointed in the manner set out in Article P;“Company Secretary”means the company secretary of the Small Cell Forum from time to time appointed in the manner set out in Article O;“Connected Person”has the meaning given in section 252 of the Act;

Academic Member means a member of the Council of Management who is a member of the teaching staff of the College (other than the Principal);

Academic Member means a Member who, in accordance with these Rules is categorised as an Academic Member of the College;

Academic Member means a person who has been admitted to a class of membership pursuant to Clause 21
