Vehicle Recovery. The Company will indemnify the Insured under the Terms and Conditions of this Insurance whilst the Insured Vehicle is towing, lifting or transporting a vehicle for recovery purposes provided that the vehicle is secured in a manner which complies with the legal requirements of the Road Traffic Act. This Insurance will apply to any vehicle being towed, lifted or transported. It is further declared and agreed that General Exclusion 1(c) of this Insurance relating to use for Hire and Reward shall not apply to use in connection with Insured’s business or occupation.

What is Covered During the specified period, almost all of the original manufacturer’s mechanical and electrical components are guaranteed against total failure except those listed under exclusions. Overnight Accommodation and Rail Fare Hotel expenses or return rail fare will be reimbursed to a maximum of £60 including VAT within the maximum claims liability, providing that the Vehicle is rendered immobile due to a valid claim under the terms of the Agreement. Vehicle Recovery. If the vehicle cannot be repaired at the scene of the breakdown and cannot be repaired the same day at a suitable garage, we will arrange and pay the cost of taking the vehicle, you and up to 6 passengers from the place where the vehicle has broken down to any one place you choose. Home Service If the vehicle breaks down at your home or within a quarter of a mile of your home, we will arrange help and pay call-out fees and labour charges needed to start the vehicle. If the vehicle cannot be repaired quickly at the scene of the breakdown, we will pay the cost of taking the vehicle to the nearest available garage (up to a maximum of 20 miles).

Engine - internal components Valve assembly, inlet and exhaust valves, valve guides and springs (excluding burnt valves and decokes), cylinder head (excluding cracks and overheating damage), stretched head bolts, push rods, camshaft and cam followers, timing chains and timing chain tensioner, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, gudgeon pins, con rods and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, flywheel and ring gear, distributor drive. Camshaft Timing Belt Providing there is proof that the manufacturer’s replacement recommendations have been complied with and they are free from oil contamination. Manual Gearbox & Transfer Box - internal components only Gears, shafts, synchromesh hubs, selectors, bearings, speedometer drive, overdrive units (when fitted), solenoid (excluding gear cables, linkages, electronic actuators). Automatic Gearbox - internal components only Gears, oil pump, shafts, clutches, brake bands, bearings, governors, servos, torque converter, drive plate, valve block, modulator valve, speedometer drive.
Vehicle Recovery. If you do not return the Vehicle to the rental location, abandon the Vehicle, or we have to repossess the Vehicle, then a $500 recovery charge, plus $5 per mile for every mile between the renting location and the place where the Vehicle is recovered, plus any additional recovery expenses we incur;
Vehicle Recovery. If you have a valid claim, we will pay up to £70 including VAT but not including any tolls or ferry charges, towards the cost of towing your immobilised vehicle to an authorised repairer.
