Termination – Group of Holidays. If the Company terminates the employment of an Employee, except for reasons of misconduct, the Company will pay the Employee 1 day’s ordinary wages for each holiday as prescribed in this sub-clause or each holiday in a group as prescribed in this sub-clause which falls within 10 consecutive days after the day of termination. Where any 2 or more of the holidays prescribed in this sub-clause occur within a 7 day span, such holidays will, for the purpose of the Agreement, be a group of holidays. If the first day of the group of holidays falls within 10 consecutive days after termination, the whole group will be deemed to fall within the 10 consecutive days. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day also Good Friday and Easter Monday will be regarded as a group.

Where any two (2) or more of the holidays prescribed in this subsection occur within a seven (7) day span, such holidays shall, for the purpose of this Agreement, be a group of holidays.   • Designation of Holidays 1. Except when normal operations require, or in an emergency, non-suppression personnel shall not be required to work on the following days, which are hereby declared to be holidays for such employees: ▪ New Year's Day, January 1; ▪ Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday; ▪ Presidents' Day, the third Monday in February; ▪ Memorial Day, the last Monday in May; ▪ Independence Day, July 4; ▪ Labor Day, first Monday in September; ▪ Columbus Day, the second Monday in October; ▪ Veteran's Day, November 11; ▪ Thanksgiving Day; ▪ The Day After Thanksgiving; ▪ Christmas Day, December 25; ▪ Any day declared to be a holiday by proclamation of the Mayor after declared by the Governor of the State of California or the President of the United States.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 126. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime as provided for elsewhere in this contract. 127. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Holiday Compensation 1. Those employees working a five-day per week schedule with Saturdays and Sundays as normal days off shall receive cash payment for eight (8) hours per holiday subject to the conditions of this article.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. Should the Hospital be required to observe an additional paid holiday as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Hospital shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Hospital's obligation to provide the number of paid holidays as noted above remains unchanged.

  • Defined Benefit Pension Plan 1. The Employer and the Union hereby agree to the continuation of the existing Northern California Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glass Workers Pension Trust Agreement ("Defined Benefit Pension Trust").

  • Compensation for Work on Holidays 1. An employee who is required to work on Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday, Xxxxxxx's Birthday or Washington's Birthday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive his or her regular pay for each hour worked. Work performed on a holiday which is overtime as defined in Article I, Section 1.A., shall be compensated as provided in Article I, Section 2.C.1.
