Temporary Military Leave for Active-Duty Training. Temporary military leave for active-duty training shall be granted to any employee who as a member of a reserve component of the United States Armed Forces is ordered to full-time active military duty for training for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days, including time spent traveling to and from such duty.

Temporary Military Leave for Active-Duty Training. 1. Temporary military leave for active-duty training shall be granted to any employee who as a member of a reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States (the federally recognized National Guard, the federally recognized Air National Guard, the Officer's Reserve Corps, the Regular Army Reserve, the Air Force Reserve, the Enlisted Reserve Corps, the Naval Reserve, the Marine Corps Reserve, the Coast Guard Reserve, and the Public Health Reserve when serving with the Armed Forces) is ordered to full-time active military duty for training for a period not to exceed 180 calendar days, including time spent traveling to and from such duty. Such leave is not granted for inactive duty such as regular weekly or monthly meetings or drills required to maintain reserve status. However, unpaid leave may be granted for such meetings and drills or the employee may elect to use vacation leave.

Related to Temporary Military Leave for Active-Duty Training

  • Military Leave of Absence Upon application, a military leave of absence without pay will be granted to employees who are inducted through Selective Service or voluntary enlistment, or those called through membership in the National Guard or reserve component into the Armed Forces of the United States. Credited service for military service shall be determined by the retirement plan.

  • Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.
