South East Wales Metro. Summary: Given the importance of the Metro to the UK Government, Welsh Government and Cardiff Capital Region, a proportion of city deal funding is pre-allocated to the delivery of this scheme (which, for the avoidance of doubt, such funding shall not include any Council’s Contribution or any obligation under the Joint Working Agreement). This pre-allocation focuses on Metro phase 2, the delivery of the Valley Lines Electrification and Modernisation programme.
