Common use of Sick Leave While on Vacation Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave While on Vacation. If an Employee becomes ill for a period of three (3) or more consecutive working days while on vacation and if the illness is supported by a certificate acceptable to the Employer from a qualified medical practitioner, the Employee shall be granted sick leave for that period. If sick leave is granted in these circumstances, the Employee's vacation is credited to the extent of the sick leave.

Sick Leave While on Vacation. If sick leave is granted in these circumstances, the Employee's and not vacation is credited to the extent of the sick leave.

If an Employee employee becomes ill for a period of three (3) or more consecutive working days injured while on vacation and if vacation, he may use sick leave in lieu of vacation. If sick leave is granted in these circumstances, the Employee's vacation is credited to the extent of the sick leavewould be charged rather than accrued vacation.
