Service Advancement. After initial placement on the appropriate salary schedule the unit member shall advance one (1) step for each year of service in which he/she was in paid contractual status for at least 75% of the school year, except as outlined in Section 2, Section 3, 3A, Section 4A, 4B of this Appendix and Appendix C1. Employees serving in part time assignments who were in paid contractual status in the District for less than 75% of a school year may request to advance one (1) step for each two years of service in which he/she was in paid contractual status in the District for less than 75% of the school year, provided that the total contractual percentage over the two years is equivalent to 75% of one school year.

Service Advancement. All contract employees except those at the maximum in their Class shall advance one step for each year of service in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Adjunct faculty may receive a semester credit for teaching/counseling during the Fall, Spring, Winter Intersession or Summer Intersession, but may only accrue 3 of these semester credits in a single fiscal year toward step advancement.
Service Advancement. All police officers with five (5) or more years of service as commissioned officers in the department will be moved to 902 – Senior Police Officer, Range 29 at their respective longevity levels. This movement will be described as a “Service Advancement” and will be on a qualifying basis with no probationary period. Xxxxxxxxxx, when a police officer reaches five (5) years of commissioned service with the department, they will be entitled to advance to Senior Police Officer at the beginning of the next quarter. When they reach five (5) years longevity as a police officer, they will have their normal longevity increase during the affected pay period. At the beginning of the next quarter, they will advance to Senior Police Officer. In the interim, they will be paid out of grade at the Senior Police Officer pay range, five (5) year longevity level. Lateral police officers will advance at a different rate than entry-level police officers. No later than completion of three (3) years of service in the department, their Service Advancement will occur. They will advance to Senior Police Officer at the entry level of Range 29 at the beginning of the next quarter, being paid out of grade until the paperwork is completed. They will remain at the entry level until they have completed five (5) years longevity in the department. At that time, they will progress through the normal longevity increase process in the Senior Police Officer pay range. The quarterly changes are to be initiated by the department who will be keeping track of the next group of employees eligible for the Service Advancement. The parties will work with the Spokane Civil Service Commission to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Step Advancement Each faculty member will be granted one (1) increment on the salary schedule each year up to the maximum allowed. To qualify for advancement one (1) step on the salary schedule, employees must have been employed in a paid status or on any form of medical leave (FMLA, CFRA, etc.), or on military leave seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the school days in a school year.

  • Career Advancement A) In order to attain Professional Teacher Status, the Educator should achieve ratings of proficient or exemplary on each Performance Standard and overall. A principal considering making an employment decision that would lead to PTS for any Educator who has not been rated proficient or exemplary on each performance standard and overall on the most recent evaluation shall confer with the superintendent by May 1. The principal’s decision is subject to review and approval by the superintendent.

  • Mandatory Advancement of Expenses Subject to Section 8(a) below, the Company shall advance all expenses incurred by the Indemnitee in connection with the investigation, defense, settlement or appeal of any proceeding to which the Indemnitee is a party or is threatened to be made a party by reason of the fact that the Indemnitee is or was an agent of the Company. Indemnitee hereby undertakes to repay such amounts advanced only if, and to the extent that, it shall be determined ultimately that the Indemnitee is not entitled to be indemnified by the Company as authorized hereby. The advances to be made hereunder shall be paid by the Company to the Indemnitee within twenty (20) days following delivery of a written request therefor by the Indemnitee to the Company.

  • Advancement In accordance with the pre-existing requirements of the Bylaws, and notwithstanding any provision of this Agreement to the contrary, the Corporation shall advance, to the extent not prohibited by applicable law, the Expenses reasonably incurred by Indemnitee in connection with any Proceeding, and such advancement shall be made within thirty (30) days after the receipt by the Corporation of a statement or statements requesting such advances from time to time, whether prior to or after final disposition of any Proceeding. Advances shall be unsecured and interest free. Advances shall be made without regard to Indemnitee’s ability to repay the Expenses and without regard to Indemnitee’s ultimate entitlement to indemnification under the other provisions of this Agreement. Advances shall include any and all Expenses reasonably incurred pursuing an action to enforce this right of advancement, including Expenses incurred preparing and forwarding statements to the Corporation to support the advances claimed. Indemnitee shall qualify for advances upon the execution and delivery to the Corporation of this Agreement, which shall constitute an undertaking providing that Indemnitee undertakes to repay the amounts advanced to the extent that it is ultimately determined that Indemnitee is not entitled to be indemnified by the Corporation. This Section 8 shall not apply to any claim made by Indemnitee for which indemnity is excluded pursuant to Section 7 hereof.

  • Salary Advancement Assigned salary ranges normally contain 5 steps. Employees move through these steps on the basis of performance in the position hired/promoted into. Regular, full-time employees shall be eligible for salary step advancement consideration, as follows:

  • Advancement and Repayment of Expenses Subject to Section 4 hereof, the Expenses incurred by Indemnitee in defending and investigating any Proceeding shall be paid by the Company in advance of the final disposition of such Proceeding within 30 days after receiving from Indemnitee the copies of invoices presented to Indemnitee for such Expenses, if Indemnitee shall provide an undertaking to the Company to repay such amount to the extent it is ultimately determined that Indemnitee is not entitled to indemnification. In determining whether or not to make an advance hereunder, the ability of Indemnitee to repay shall not be a factor. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in a proceeding brought by the Company directly, in its own right (as distinguished from an action bought derivatively or by any receiver or trustee), the Company shall not be required to make the advances called for hereby if the Board of Directors determines, in its sole discretion, that it does not appear that Indemnitee has met the standards of conduct which make it permissible under applicable law to indemnify Indemnitee and the advancement of Expenses would not be in the best interests of the Company and its stockholders.

  • Procedure for Notification of Claim for Indemnification or Advancement (a) Indemnitee will notify the Company in writing of any Proceeding with respect to which Indemnitee intends to seek indemnification or advancement of Expenses hereunder as soon as reasonably practicable following the receipt by Indemnitee of written notice thereof. Indemnitee will include in the written notification to the Company a description of the nature of the Proceeding and the facts underlying the Proceeding and provide such documentation and information as is reasonably available to Indemnitee and is reasonably necessary to determine whether and to what extent Indemnitee is entitled to indemnification following the final disposition of such Proceeding. Indemnitee’s failure to notify the Company will not relieve the Company from any obligation it may have to Indemnitee under this Agreement, and any delay in so notifying the Company will not constitute a waiver by Indemnitee of any rights under this Agreement. The Secretary of the Company will, promptly upon receipt of such a request for indemnification or advancement, advise the Board in writing that Indemnitee has requested indemnification or advancement.

  • Advancement of Funds In the case of each Mortgage Loan, neither the Mortgage Loan Seller nor, to the Mortgage Loan Seller's knowledge, any prior holder of such Mortgage Loan has advanced funds or induced, solicited or knowingly received any advance of funds from a party other than the owner of the related Mortgaged Property (other than amounts paid by the tenant as specifically provided under a related lease), for the payment of any amount required by such Mortgage Loan, except for interest accruing from the date of origination of such Mortgage Loan or the date of disbursement of the Mortgage Loan proceeds, whichever is later, to the date which preceded by 30 days the first due date under the related Mortgage Note.

  • Salary Step Advancement No period of unpaid leave shall be counted toward time served for purposes of salary step advancement. Completion of at least 75% of the assigned work year for the employee in a paid status is a prerequisite to salary advancement.

  • Procedure for Advance Payment of Expenses Indemnitee shall submit to the Company a written request specifying the Indemnifiable Expenses for which Indemnitee seeks an advancement under Section 8 of this Agreement, together with documentation evidencing that Indemnitee has incurred such Indemnifiable Expenses. Payment of Indemnifiable Expenses under Section 8 shall be made no later than ten (10) calendar days after the Company’s receipt of such request.
