Role of Seniority in Lay-Offs and Recalls. In the event of a lay-off, all temporary employees and then probationary employees will be laid off first. After all temporary and probationary employees have been laid off, provided they have the qualifications and abilities to do the jobs remaining, full time employees will be laid off in the reverse order of their seniority.
