Rates for New Positions. Whenever a new position or class of positions is established by the Employer, the Union shall be furnished with a copy of the description of the position or class specification, and advised of the proposed rate of pay and weekly hours of work. Where the Union disputes the proposed rate of pay within thirty (30) calendar days of being advised of the proposed new rate of pay, representatives of the Employer shall meet with the Union to discuss and attempt to negotiate an acceptable rate of pay. The Employer may post and fill the position(s) at any time after the Union has been advised of the proposed rate of pay.

Rates for New Positions. Section 1: When a new position is created in the Bargaining Unit and cannot be properly placed in an existing classification, the Board shall notify the Unit prior to establishing a classification and rate structure. In the event the Unit does not agree that the rate and classification are proper, the issue shall be subject to negotiations by the Board and the Unit.

The Union will be provided with every reasonable opportunity to meet with the representatives of the Employer during the said period of thirty (30) days, and to discuss and attempt to negotiate a rate of pay therefore; provided, however, that failure to negotiate a mutually acceptable rate of pay shall not be deemed to prevent the Employer from proceeding to advertise and fill such position following expiry of the said thirty‌ (30) days.
Rates for New Positions. When the City proposes to establish new classifications in the classified service, the Union will be notified of the proposed rate and whether the City considers the new classification to be in the bargaining unit. Agreement as to whether or not the classification should be in the bargaining unit and the rate for said classification will be resolved through negotiation.

  • RATES FOR NEW JOBS A. When a new job is placed in the unit and cannot be properly placed in an existing classification, the Employer will notify the Union prior to establishing a classification and rate structure.   • VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS 17.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies subject to Article 4 – Temporary Full-Time Employees for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is filled.   • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency.
