Classified Service. An employee will attain permanent status in the classified service upon completion of a probationary review period. For positions designated in-training, Article 4.2 D will govern when permanent status is attained.
Classified Service. All employees covered by this Agreement shall be in the County's Civil Service System and all of the provisions of the Rules and Regulations, orders and resolutions of Lancaster County passed pursuant thereto from time to time, not otherwise inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement, shall apply.
Classified Service. All positions and employment not specifically included by provisions of the City Charter as being in the unclassified service.

Excluded from the Classified Service are substitutes, short-term employees as defined by the Education Code, student assistants employed part time, apprentices, and professional experts employed on a temporary basis for specific projects.

Classified Service. The Governing Board of any community college district shall employ persons for positions that are not academic positions. The Governing Board shall, except where Article 3 (commencing with Section 88060) of this chapter or Section 88137 applies, classify all such employees and positions. The employees and positions shall be known as the classified service. Substitute and short-term employees, employed and paid for less than seventy-five percent (75%) of a school year, shall not be a part of the classified service. Part-time playground positions, apprentices and professional experts employed on a temporary basis for a specific project, regardless of length of employment, shall not be a part of the classified service. Full-time students employed part time, and part-time students employed part time in any college work-study program, or in a work experience education program conducted by a community college district pursuant to Article 4 (commencing with Section 78240) of Chapter 2 of Part 48 of this division and which is financed by state or federal funds, shall not be a part of the classified service. Classified Service. The group of District employees who hold job titles included in the official listing published by the Board of Education.
Classified Service. All positions assigned to the Miscellaneous Unit in the City except those defined under exempt or limited service in the Xxxxxxxx Municipal Code.
