Rate of Pay on Temporary Assignment. When an employee is assigned to temporarily relieve in or perform the principal duties of a higher paying position, in accordance with the collective agreement the employee shall receive the pay rate for the job.
Rate of Pay on Temporary Assignment. (a) When an employee is temporarily assigned to a higher level position for a period of two (2) or more consecutive working days, his/her rate of pay will be established in the same manner as outlined in Clause 23.02(a). Any salary adjustment which occurs during the period of temporary assignment shall be first applied on the employee’s regular salary and his/her temporary rate of pay will be redetermined as per the above. In a week in which a paid holiday occurs, the minimum period for temporary assignment shall be reduced by the number of holidays in that week.
Rate of Pay on Temporary Assignment. In the event an employee is temporarily assigned to a lower-rated classification, she shall continue to receive her regular rate of pay. This provision does not apply when an employee is laid off and exercises her bumping rights.

This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.
