Public Holiday in Vacation. If a public holiday falls within the employee's vacation period, he/she may elect to receive holiday pay as provided in Section 11.1(a) or receive a compensatory day's holiday. If the employee elects to receive a compensatory day's holiday with pay, it shall be taken at a time to be agreed upon between the Company and the employee. If subsequently the employee does work on the day agreed upon as the compensatory day's holiday, it shall be considered as work performed on a public holiday and the employee shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of Section 11.1(d) for that day.

Public Holiday in Vacation. If a paid public holiday falls within the employee’s vacation period, the Company will, at its option, either allow the employee concerned a compensatory day’s holiday with pay or make payment as provided in Article 7.

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Holiday Leave Holiday leave provisions shall be as noted below:

  • Holiday Worked In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be compensated for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate, in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
