Professional and Technical Employees Bargaining Unit. (“PTE”) All full-time and regular part-time professional and technical employees of Western Washington University, excluding supervisors and employees excluded from the coverage of the state civil service law.   • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • Project Employment 1. The Employer may appoint employees into project positions for which employment is contingent upon state, federal, local, grant, or other special funding of specific and of time-limited duration. The Employer will notify the employees, in writing, of the expected ending date of the project employment.

  • Contract Employee Check this option when the Department requires a renewal or other amendment to the performance of a Contract Employee.

  • Government and Service Employees' Union The leave shall be for a period of three years and shall be renewed upon request.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • Policy Grievance – Employer Grievance The Employer may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation by the Union or any employee by filing a written grievance with the Bargaining Unit President, with a copy to the Labour Relations Officer within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. A meeting will be held between the parties within ten (10) days. The Union shall reply within ten (10) days after the meeting, and failing settlement, the matter may be referred to arbitration.

  • Training and Technical Assistance COALITION will notify PROVIDER of the availability of training, technical assistance, and other targeted assistance in support of the provision of quality VPK services. COALITION will offer technical assistance for providers on probation. The technical assistance will be designed to facilitate the development and implementation of an improvement plan. The technical assistance will be offered in a manner and schedule prescribed by the COALITION or school district.
