Preparation Days. For the duration of this contract, prior to the beginning of the school year, the Board agrees to compensate each teacher involved for working in and preparing his or her classroom and curriculum. The preparation day is defined as an eight (8) hour work day. Teachers shall be free to choose the preparation days from the two calendar weeks in August prior to the first week of school. Employees on an extended contract may be granted their prep-days before this two week period. Teachers may elect to work one or a combination of the following four (4) options: not to exceed 16 hours of work:

The preparation day is defined as an eight (8) hour work day. Professional educators shall be free to choose the preparation days from the two calendar weeks in August prior to the first week of school. Professional educators on an extended contract may be granted their prep-days before this two-week period. Professional educators may elect to work up to sixteen (16) hours and will be compensated hourly as follows, rounded to the nearest quarter hour: 2020 – 2021: $12.50 per hour 2021 – 2022: $12.50 per hour 2022 – 2023: $13.00 per hour 2023 – 2024: $14.00 per hour 2024 – 2025: $15.00 per hour

Preparation Days. If an involuntary transfer occurs during the school year or within fourteen (14) calendar days of the start of the student school year, the involuntarily transferred teacher will be granted two (2) days of release time to facilitate the transfer or may be paid the equivalent of two (2) days at the substitute rate of pay in lieu of release time. An effort will be made to inform the involuntarily transferred teacher of the new curriculum and building procedures prior to student contact.

  • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building. If the teacher must leave the Building during his/her preparation and/or lunch period, he/she must notify the Building switchboard operator.

  • Preparation Periods 31-1 The School District agrees to maintain daily preparation periods during the student day in all junior and senior high schools. At schools where block scheduling is in effect, the total preparation time provided shall be equal to the preparation time provided at schools not operating on a block schedule.

  • Preparation Awarded vendor shall not begin a project for which TIPS Member has not prepared the site, unless awarded vendor does the preparation work at no cost, or until TIPS Member includes the cost of site preparation in a purchase order. Site preparation includes, but is not limited to: moving furniture, installing wiring for networks or power, and similar pre-installation requirements. Registered sex offender restrictions: For work to be performed at schools, awarded vendor agrees that no employee of a sub-contractor who has been adjudicated to be a registered sex offender will perform work at any time when students are, or reasonably expected to be, present. Awarded vendor agrees that a violation of this condition shall be considered a material breach and may result in the cancellation of the purchase order at the TIPS Member’s discretion. Awarded vendor must identify any additional costs associated with compliance of this term. If no costs are specified, compliance with this term will be provided at no additional charge. Safety measures: Awarded vendor shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety of employees on the worksite, and shall erect and properly maintain all necessary safeguards for protection of workers and the public. Awarded vendor shall post warning signs against all hazards created by the operation and work in progress. Proper precautions shall be taken pursuant to state law and standard practices to protect workers, general public and existing structures from injury or damage.

  • Preparation Time 1. Each full-time elementary teacher shall receive 100 minutes of preparation time per week scheduled in accordance with the Previous Collective Agreement.

  • Preparations No more than three (3) preparations per professor per term shall be the goal of the District and the Association. If more than three (3) preparations are necessary to meet particular needs of students or to meet the unique needs of a department, such additional preparations will only be assigned by the appropriate administrator following discussion with all affected members of the department. When such additional preparations are necessary, they shall be distributed equitably among department members.

  • ELECTION DAYS Work and travel will be arranged to allow employees the opportunity to vote on their own time on recognized state and federal election days unless they are given sufficient notice to enable time to obtain an absentee ballot.

  • Snow Days ‌ If an employee after good faith efforts is unable to report to work for his or her scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, and if a disaster due to weather is declared by the governor or the Grand Traverse County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the employee at the employee's option may take a day's leave without pay or work on a pass day to make up the loss day, or may utilize an accumulated sick leave day or vacation day.

  • Lieu Days Where an employee is granted a lieu day pursuant to Clause 17.3 or 17.4 of this Agreement, the time off granted will be seven (7) hours per lieu day for a full-time employee and prorated for a part-time employee.
