The "New Curriculum" clause establishes the requirements and procedures for implementing updated or revised educational content within an institution or program. Typically, this clause outlines how new courses, materials, or teaching methods are introduced, who is responsible for their development and approval, and the timeline for their adoption. By clearly defining the process for curriculum changes, the clause ensures that updates are managed systematically and transparently, helping to maintain educational standards and adapt to evolving academic or industry needs.
New Curriculum. The parties agree that bargaining unit members will not be required to implement new curriculum if 1. detailed outlines (including common tasks or required summative assessments, and a list of required readings) with timelines are not provided to the teachers at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester during which the curriculum is scheduled to be taught, or
New Curriculum. Training and support shall be given when a teacher is expected to transition to a new curriculum.
New Curriculum. In the implementation of new curriculum, the Districts shall develop and implement in-service training programs for any certified teacher(s) who will be responsible for the new curricular programs if necessary.

17.8.1 Exceptions to an Enrollment Cap The appropriate Vice President or designee may change a class cap that is different than the enrollment cap in the Master Course Listing. Reasons for modifying a class cap are limited to:
1. When the department chair and division ▇▇▇▇ intend to apply large class loading;
2. When the classroom is too small to accommodate the enrollment cap;
New Curriculum. All new curriculum shall be reviewed by the Load & Enrollment Cap Committee. The Load & Enrollment Cap Committee shall determine whether the classhas been assigned the correct load before the new curriculum is given final approval by the Curriculum Committee and the Board of Trustees. WVMFT, AFT 6554 and the District agree to include the following evaluation criteria and any others the Load & Enrollment Cap Committee deems appropriate when evaluating a course load or enrollment cap:
1. Any criteria developed must be based on the appropriate pedagogy, not on historical precedent; and
2. An analysis of impact on the budget and performance goals; for any recommended load changes must be included as part of the recommendation; and
3. An analysis of the load and enrollment cap of similar disciplines shall be considered; and
4. The reasonable workload required to satisfy expected pedagogical standards. 17.7.4 Initial Implementation of EnrollmentCap Decisions

New Curriculum. The Borrower shall cause MOET to ensure that new curriculum for USS is developed in a timely manner to ensure successful implementation of the training programs under the Project.

Using the criteria above, all new curriculum shall be reviewed by the Load & Enrollment Cap Committee to determine whether the class has been assigned the correct load and class cap after the new curriculum is given final approval by the Board of Trustees. Using the criteria above, the Load & Enrollment Cap Committee, in collaboration with discipline faculty and division deans, will audit and set the enrollment cap for the different, existing broad classifications of course types and will apply those standards as new courses are approved through the curriculum process.
