Paid Sick Days. Full-time and regular part-time employees who have completed the initial probationary period shall receive sick leave credit of one (1) sick leave day (pro-rata for regular part-time) at the completion of each one (1) month’s service. Accumulation of unused sick leave shall be unlimited.

Paid Sick Days. (a) Employees shall earn one (1) paid sick day (equal to eight [8] hours) for each one hundred twenty (120) paid hours of bargaining unit work during each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30), up to a maximum of twelve (12) paid sick days in any given fiscal year. Paid sick days earned but unused may be accumulated and carried over, from one fiscal year to the next, up to but not exceeding a total of sixty (60) paid sick days.
Paid Sick Days. Each full-time twelve month employee shall be credited with fourteen (14) paid sick days per year, two of which may be used for personal days. Each full-time ten month employee shall be credited with twelve (12) paid sick leave days per year, two of which may be used for personal days.

The Employer may, if circumstances reasonably warrant, require a physician’s documentation of the need for and/or ability to return from such sick leave. At the end of each academic year members may contribute any of their unused paid sick days for that year to a collective “sick day bank” for use in the subsequent year by any member(s) whose own accumulated paid sick days have been exhausted, when needed due to the serious health condition of the member or the member’s child, parent, or spouse, or to be with a child which has been born to, adopted by, or placed for xxxxxx care with the member. Such “sick day bank” days will be limited to 20 per member per year. Members who wish to contribute such unused sick days will do so in writing at the end of each academic year. Paid Sick Days. A professional educator may, at his/her option, receive $40 per unused sick or personal day if it (a) is unused from the current school year allotment of 12 days; and (b) would result in an accumulation beyond 170 sick days at the end of the school year for that professional educator. The professional educator must notify the district payroll clerk via e-mail or letter by May 1st of their desire to take advantage of this benefit of $40 per day. Payment for these days will be made in the last paycheck in June.
Paid Sick Days. Any teacher not currently receiving the retirement incentive must be notified in writing by the administration sixty (60) days before the end of the school year that reimbursement for sick leave days is an option. A teacher may, at his/her option, receive $40 per unused sick or personal day if it (a) is unused from the current school year allotment of 12 sick or 2 personal days; and (b) would result in an accumulation beyond 170 sick days at the end of the school year for that teacher. The teacher must accept or decline the payment of $40 per day 30 days before the end of the school year. Payment for these days will be made in the last paycheck in June. In accordance with TRS Rules and Regulations, any unused sick days for which the employee is reimbursed or paid cannot be utilized for accumulation of unused sick days for TRS purposes.
