Planned overtime on a day within normal workweek. If the duration of the planned overtime outside Guelph Hydro offices is in excess of one and one-half (1.5) continuous hours and is contiguous to the start of a normal workday, the employee shall be paid an up to eight dollar ($8.00) meal allowance, and take a thirty (30) minute paid break for a meal and clean- up in the first five (5) hour period, and starting before 9:30 a.m., as directed by the Supervisor or employee in charge of the job site. If the duration of the planned overtime outside Guelph Hydro offices is in excess of one and one-half (1.5) continuous hours and contiguous to the end of a normal workday, the employee shall be paid an up to fifteen dollar ($15.00) meal allowance and take a thirty (30) minute paid break for a meal and clean-up within the first two and one-half (2.5) hours, and in each subsequent five (5) hour period starting from 6:00 p.m., when the employee’s normal quitting time is 4:30 p.m., or starting from 5:00 p.m. when the employee’s normal quitting time is 3:30 p.m., as directed by the Supervisor or employee in charge of the job site. If a meal break is not taken, the employee shall be paid an eight dollar ($8.00) meal allowance for the missed meal, and an additional thirty (30) minutes at the applicable overtime rate for the missed meal break. Meal allowances and paid meal breaks referenced in this article shall apply for planned overtime performed inside Guelph Hydro offices in circumstances where the planned overtime is in excess of one and one-half (1.5) continuous hours and the Supervisor directs, in his/her sole discretion, that the planned overtime must be worked contiguous to the start or the end of the workday. The location at which a meal is provided (e.g. restaurant sit down, restaurant pick-up, delivery to the office, etc.), the time selected for the meal break, and the number of employees who shall take the meal break at any one particular time, shall be at the sole discretion of the Supervisor or employee in charge of the job site.

  • Work Period; Overtime Pay The work period for overtime computation purposes shall be a seven (7) day period, as defined by the Employer. Nurses working this twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours after the end of the twelve (12) hour shift or for any hours worked beyond forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. If a nurse works more than two (2) consecutive hours beyond the end of the twelve (12) hour shift, all overtime hours after fourteen (14) consecutive hours of work for that shift shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Overtime or Callout Which Does Not Abut the Succeeding Shift (1) When overtime is worked there shall be an elapsed time of eight hours between the end of overtime and the time the employee reports for duty on the next regular shift, with no shortfall out of their regular shift.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.
