Vacation Coverage Sample Clauses

Vacation Coverage. Vacation coverage shall be handled by the person on scheduled 8 hour days. As vacation is generally known well in advance, this coverage will not be subject to "shift schedule" rules outlined in 4:09 or 5:06 of the agreement unless less than 72 hours notice is given to the covering employee. Employees will be paid 1-1/2x their basic hourly rate for the difference in hours between their original schedule and the schedule they are covering, if the new schedule is greater. In addition, overtime worked on the schedule they are covering will be calculated in accordance with 5:02 as amended above.

Vacation Coverage. The Union and the Hospital jointly recognize the need to hire temporary employees to facilitate vacation scheduling. However, it is the parties desire to minimize the use of temporary employees if possible. The Hospital agrees to meet with the Union prior to the start of the prime vacation period to discuss the creation of full-time temporary positions that will be offered to part-time employees within each Department. It is further agreed that all available call-in hours will be offered to permanent part-time employees prior to being offered to temporary employees.
Vacation Coverage. The department PAC and the department chairperson are authorized to make arrangements for implementing the hiring procedure when classes are not in regular session.

Vacation Coverage. Vacation shifts will be first offered to the “shadow” shift, in accordance with their availability. Remaining shifts will be offered to employees in accordance with seniority and availability. Lieu days and float days will be assigned to the “shadow” shift provided they have indicated their availability; the shift will otherwise be assigned to the most senior employee who has indicated they are available.
Vacation Coverage. Up to fifty percent (50%) of the Operators may be on vacation at the same time provided the company can maintain an acceptable level of shift coverage to maintain its operations.
