Paid Medical Leave Act. In compliance with the Paid Medical Leave Act of 2018, employees may use PTO for any of the reasons covered by the Act. Employees must follow the departments usual notification procedures, as well as other documentation and recording requirements as stated in Board of Commissioners Policy #340 for use of (PML).

Paid Medical Leave Act. (PMLA) Employees who work at least twenty-six (26) hours per week are eligible to utilize up to forty (40) hours of their one-hundred and four (104) accrued annual hours of sick leave as it relates to the Paid Medical Leave Act.   • Family and Medical Leave Act All employees who worked for the Employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past twelve (12) months are eligible for unpaid leave as set forth in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Eligible employees are entitled to up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period for the following reasons:

  • Family Medical Leave Act Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, an employee who has been employed at least twelve (12) months and worked at least 1,250 hours during the prior 12-month period is entitled to twelve (12) work weeks of leave during any 12-month period without pay but with group health insurance coverage maintained for one or more of the following reasons:

Consistent with the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments thereto and the Washington State Family Leave Act of 2006 (WFLA), an employee who has worked for the state for at least twelve (12) months and for at least one thousand two hundred fifty (1,250) hours during the twelve (12) months prior to the requested leave is entitled to up to twelve (12) workweeks of family medical leave in a twelve (12) month period for one or more of the following reasons 1 - 4:

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
