One-Time Leave Hours. Effective June 21, 2015, SEIU employees who are City employees on July 1, 2015, will receive a one-time contribution of 21 hours of leave time (prorated for regular part-time employees). This leave must be used by pay period 2, 2016, or it will be cashed out with the pay period 2 payroll. In addition, effective the first payroll including July 1, 2016, SEIU employees who are City employees on July 1, 2016 will receive another one-time contribution of 21 hours of leave time (prorated for regular part-time employees). This leave must be used by pay period 2, 2017, or it will be cashed out with the pay period 2 payroll. The one- time leave hours will be tracked separately from all other accrued leave balances.

One-Time Leave Hours. Members of the bargaining unit who are City employees on June 28, 2020 will receive a one-time contribution of 59 hours of leave time (42 hours for 40-hour per week employees). This leave must be used by Pay Period 2, 2021, or it will be cashed out with the Pay Period 2 payroll.

  • Maternity Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for maternity leave pursuant to Clause 26.01, shall be paid a maternity leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan, as set out in Letter of Understanding #1. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof that the employee has applied for and is eligible to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for maternity leave allowance.

  • Paid Maternity Leave Upon written request to the Chair/Xxxx/Director indicating the expected date of delivery, a female employee shall be entitled to paid maternity leave of up to seventeen thirty-fifths of the period of her Appointment Contract(s). Requests for Maternity Leave will be made as soon as practicable, and normally no later than one month before the intended start-date of the leave.

  • Extended Leave of Absence Professional employees who have attained renewable contract status may request extended leaves of absence for one (1) year without pay under any one of the circumstances listed in this section. All requests for such extended leave of absence will be applied for and granted or rejected in writing. Such application will be reviewed by the principal and superintendent. If the latter approves, he/she will recommend that the leave be granted by the Board. An employee returning from an extended leave will be assigned to the same position as that which he/she held before assuming the leave, providing that position still exists. By mutual agreement between the employer and the employees, he/she may be given a different assignment. Extended leaves of absence may be requested under, but not limited to, the following:

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.   • MATERNITY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A Maternity Leave of Absence will be granted, subject to the following:

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Vacation Leave Maximum Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:

  • Period of Leave (a) The period of leave will be for 12 months, from 1 January to 31 December.

  • Paid Leave of Absence Upon request an employee shall be granted a leave of absence with pay for:

  • Maternity Leave (a) An employee is entitled to maternity leave of up to 17 weeks without pay.
