Inmate Training. In addition to the inmate telephone system voice prompts, the Contractor shall provide each facility with an instructional video tape and a “print” version of the video tape. The instructional video tape and “print” materials shall include at minimum: instructions on use of the system, details on call list development, and consent form process. The Contractor shall also provide training via “print” materials for inmates and their families and friends on the call payment options and how they work – collect and prepay payment options. The “print” materials will be made available to the DOC/DJJ for review and approval in advance of distribution. Inquiries and customer requests from consumers, or site administrators, may be called into the Contractor’s On-site Support Office Monday through Friday business hours via a toll free number. In addition, the Contractor shall provide voicemail service for calls received after business hours. The Contractor shall provide an “Inmate Hotline” which will allow voice mail inquiries and concerns from inmates. The Contractor will respond to all “inmate Hotline” voicemail messages within forty-eight (48) business hours.

Inmate Training. Contractor shall provide a variety of instructional aides in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese to educate inmates on the procedures and processes necessary to use the ICMv controlled telephones at the facility. Braille is also provided. Instructional materials and methods include:  Clear automated voice prompts every time an inmate makes a call ensures that all inmates, including those who cannot read written instructions, understand step-by- step what must be done in order to place a call.  Laminated instruction cards posted on or next to every telephone  Printed instructions on paper fliers that can be distributed by County staff  At the County’s request, a trainer will be available for inmate training on phone usage. The trainer shall provide a discussion and demonstration in each unit or pod of the facility with assistance from County staff. Topics include but are not limited to: - Use of PIN – safekeeping, using with the telephone system, how to add funds to their account. - Customer Service – Instruction on refunds, issue awareness, assistance, and filing complaints. - How the telephone system interfaces with the commissary and how orders may be placed - Calling Instruction – How to use the phone, follow the prompts, enter information, entering inmate name, PIN, warning of the use of three-way and recording, and speed dial use. - Topics and instruction shall be at the discretion of the County and Contractor shall provide trainers and services as Orange County requests them.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. Pursuant to O.C.G.A §20-2-2072 and relevant State Board rules, the training shall include, but not be limited to, best practices on school governance, the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to public records and meetings, and the requirements of applicable statutes and rules and regulations.

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • Apprenticeship Training The enterprise agrees to work with the union to improve apprenticeship training and the number of apprentices in training.

  • Training Assistance (a) Employees shall be reimbursed for one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition for job-related courses approved by the Employer.

  • Cross Training (a) The parties recognize the importance of cross training to ensure that employees are properly trained for backup and for promotions. When the Employer identifies a cross training opportunity the Employer shall provide each regular employee written notification of the cross training opportunity in following with 6.02(a). The Employer undertakes to cross train employees on the basis of seniority and the ability to do the job within a reasonable period of time.
