Holidays Falling on a Weekend. For those comprehensive leave eligible employees 22 whose regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, holidays falling on a Saturday will be 23 observed on the preceding Friday and holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed on the following 24 Monday. For those comprehensive leave eligible employees whose regular work schedule requires 25 working on a Saturday and/or a Sunday, holidays falling on these days will be observed on the actual 26 date of the holiday.

Holidays Falling on a Weekend. When any of the above noted holidays in Article 20.01 fall on a Saturday or Sunday, and are not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday and/or Tuesday and/or the preceding Friday, shall be deemed to be holidays for the purpose of this Agreement, by mutual consent of the Parties.
Holidays Falling on a Weekend. When Canada Day or Remembrance Day falls on a weekend, the compensatory day off will be the Monday immediately following that weekend or any other day as mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Union. When a holiday referred to in Article 19.1 falls in an employees’ vacation period the employee will be given an additional day off with pay.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Holiday During Vacation If a holiday, named under Article 7 of this Agreement, falls within the vacation period of an employee, he shall be granted an additional day's pay in lieu of the holiday.
