Health and Safety Cooperation / Reduction of Accidents & Injuries / Ergonomics. The Company and the Union agree to cooperate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee to identify and keep track of injuries occurring in the plant with a view to jointly working towards the elimination of all accidents in the workplace. In order to accomplish and work toward this goal, the Company agrees to give copies of all green cards (and/or accident reports if green cards are not available), describing the nature of the injury and the name of the person, date, time, place, etc. This information shall be given monthly to the Health & Safety Committee, who shall be provided a mutually agreeable time between the Company and the Health & Safety Committee during working hours for the purpose of further investigation or discussion with injured employees, or observe working conditions, and bring the result of their investigation, if warranted, back to Management, with recommendation for proposed changes. The Company agrees to consider these proposed changes and bring in their experts as required to meet with the Plant Health & Safety Committee to assist in eliminating accidents, proposing ergonomic changes, which the Company may implement. The Committee, at all times, will encourage employees to work in a safe and productive manner.

This information shall be given to the JHSC, who shall be provided a mutually agreeable time during working hours for the purpose of further investigation or discussion with injured employees, or to observe working conditions, and to bring the results of their investigation, if warranted, back to the JHSC, with recommendations for proposed changes. The Company agrees to notify the Co-Chair of the JHSC when a new substance, material agent, or chemical is introduced.

  • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes.   • Function of Joint Health and Safety Committee All incidents involving aggression or violence shall be brought to the attention of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. The Employer agrees that the Joint Health and Safety Committee shall concern itself with all matters relating to violence to staff.

  • Health and Safety Training Regular employees and auxiliary employees in posted positions shall participate in a Health and Safety Training session once in a calendar year. The training program offered by the Employer must be approved by the joint Health and Safety Committee prior to such training commencing. Training will be provided during normal work hours and employees shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits.

  • Health and Safety Provisions The Employer shall continue to make and enforce provisions for the occupational health, safety, and security of employees. The Employer will respond to suggestions on the subject from the Union and the parties undertake to consult with a view to adopting and expeditiously carrying out reasonable procedures and techniques designed or intended to prevent or reduce the risk of employment injury and employment-related chronic illness.

Safety Shoes The Hospital will provide sixty dollars ($60.00) annually effective April and eighty dollars ($80.00) effective April to each employee who is required by the Hospital, as delineated below, to wear safety footwear during the of his duties. The Hospital will require employees the following functions to wear appropriate Engineering Services; Grounds; Transport; (only where frequently working in storage areas).
