Employee Organizational Leave. A total of sixteen (16) hours of paid release time, per fiscal year, excluding travel time, is authorized for the Union trustee representative for the purpose of attending San Diego Retiree Medical Trust board meetings. No overtime is authorized. Additional release time may be granted subject to the approval of the Human Resources Director.

Employee Organizational Leave. The Parties agree to reopen negotiations on the issue of Employee Organizational Leave after further legal analysis on the tax limitations on this proposal and after the Parties agree on how POA will fund it.

  • Employee Organization Leave Notification of a unit member's intent to take Employee Organization Leave shall be submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources no later than thirty (30) days prior to the starting date of the leave. In addition to the leave benefits granted to representatives of employee organizations by law, unit members on employee organization leave shall not accrue vacation credit, nor submit time reports for vacation leaves. Sick leave shall continue to accrue and sick leave time reporting shall be processed through the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. AFT shall notify the District no less than sixty days (60) prior to the return to service of a unit member on Employee Organization Leave.

Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
