ORGANIZATIONAL LEAVE definition

ORGANIZATIONAL LEAVE. SEIU Local 721 requests for employee organizational leave shall be made in writing to the CDEO/IRRM and to the affected Department at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of the leave. Such leaves shall be leave without pay from one (1) day to thirty (30) days. SEIU may have no more than ten (10) employees covered herein on leave of absence to do Union business. The employees must have a minimum of one (1) year continuous employment with the County. The requested leave shall only be granted if the prime reasons for the leave are to conduct SEIU Local 721 business. The leave shall be without County pay or benefits of any kind. Requests for such leave may be approved at the discretion of management depending on operational needs of that department. This Section is not grievable.

Examples of ORGANIZATIONAL LEAVE in a sentence

  • Labor organization means any organization of any kind, or any agency or employee representation committee or plan, in which employees participate and that exists for the purpose, in whole or in part, of dealing with employers concerning grievances, labor disputes, wages, rates of pay, hours of employment, or conditions of work.

  • National Labor Relations Act means the National Labor Relations Act, as amended.

  • Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.

  • Medical leave means leave of up to a total of 12 workweeks in a 12-month period because of an employee’s own serious health condition that makes the employee unable to work at all or unable to perform any one or more of the essential functions of the position of that employee. The term “essential functions” is defined in Government Code section 12926. “Medical leave” does not include leave taken for an employee’s pregnancy disability, as defined in (n) below, except as specified below in section 11093(c)(1).

  • Family Law Act means the Family Law Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. F.3, as am. S.O. 2006, c. 1, s.5; 2006, c. 19, Sched. B, s. 9, Sched. C, s. 1(1), (2), (4);

  • Fair Labor Standards Act means the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. §201 et seq.

  • national law means the law of the Member State in which the Processor is established;

  • amending Act means the Passenger Transportation Amendment Act, 2018, S.B.C. 2018, c. 53;

  • Business Corporations Act means the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) from time to time in force and all amendments thereto and includes all regulations and amendments thereto made pursuant to that Act;

  • Ratifying Act means the Act to ratify this Agreement and referred to in clause 3 hereof;

  • Planning Act means the Planning Act, 1990, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended;

  • Community organization means a nonprofit organization that has a demonstrated capacity to train, develop, and organize parents and community leaders into a constituency that will hold the school and the school district accountable for achieving high academic standards; in addition to organizations with a geographic focus, "community organization" includes general parent organizations, organizations of special education or bilingual education parents, and school employee unions (Section 10 of the Act).

  • Educational organization means a nonprofit public or private elementary or

  • Regional economic integration organization means an organization constituted by sovereign States of a given region to which its member States have transferred competence in respect of matters governed by this Convention and which has been duly authorized, in accordance with its internal procedures, to sign, ratify, accept, approve or accede to this Convention;

  • Stewardship organization means an organization, association, or

  • Nonprofit organization means a university or other institution of higher education or an organization of the type described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (26 U.S.C. 501(c) and exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code (25 U.S.C. 501(a)) or any nonprofit scientific or educational organization qualified under a state nonprofit organization statute.

  • Foreign terrorist organization means an organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States secretary of state as authorized by 8 U.S.C. Section 1189.

  • Banking Act means the UK Banking Act 2009, as amended.

  • Housing Act means the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, or its successor.

  • Parent organization means the entity named in Item I. of the Policy Declarations.

  • Locational UCAP means unforced capacity that a Member with available uncommitted capacity sells in a bilateral transaction to a Member that previously committed capacity through an RPM Auction but now requires replacement capacity to fulfill its RPM Auction commitment. The Locational UCAP Seller retains responsibility for performance of the resource providing such replacement capacity.
