Christmas Day, Boxing Day. New Years Day Public Holidays An additional ex-gratia payment, equivalent to one disability allowance, will be paid to shift employees who work on either and or Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. This payment is made in addition to hours worked by shift employees on these days. Two additional ex-gratia payments, equivalent to two disability allowances, will be paid to day work employees who work on either and or Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. This payment is made in addition to hours worked by day work employees on these days.

Christmas Day, Boxing Day. If the Holiday falls within the employee's annual vacation the employee may take an extra day off (lieu day) or extra pay, within the same calendar year. The decision as to which shall apply must be made by the employee during the respective vacation sign-up for Department and The individual scheduling of lieu days will be on a first request basis and requires mutual agreement of the employee and the respective Manager and/or requirements and scheduling priorities.

  • Boxing Day (b) If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above-named holidays as agreed by the parties. The intent is that there will be no more than twelve (12) paid holidays per calendar year for the duration of this agreement.

  • Christmas Day Easter Tuesday shall be observed as a Public Holiday in lieu of Easter Saturday and any work performed on Easter Saturday shall be paid at ordinary Saturday penalty rates. Should Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Australia Day or ANZAC day fall on a weekend, the following Monday, or other day as agreed shall be taken in lieu.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday‌ A team member who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The scheduling of the lieu day shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.
