A European model for developing culturally competent and compassionate healthcare professionals’ leaders Introduction One of the main challenges for the European countries for public health sector is to deliver improved services through a motivated workforce in years of austerity (Xxxxxx et al, 2010). Health care leaders can contribute in improving health services, taking in consideration the needs of the client/patient, the sociocultural parameters that influence his/her care and the caring values, skills, principles that health professionals apply in every day practice. Health care leaders need to lead the staff and collaborate with other health professionals, patients and families, to provide care within a safe, compassionate and culturally appropriate environment. A leader is a part of a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal with elements of creating a vision, coping, influencing and adapting to change as well as having followers (Xxxxxxxxx, 2007). Aim of the model The aim of this model is to provide the value, philosophy, educational principles and a conceptual map for potential content to aid trainers in developing curriculum and educational tools for senior health care professionals who are considered one of the most important link in the development and sustainability of culturally sensitive and compassionate caring environments. The innovation of this model is to highlight the key components of culturally competent and compassionate health care leadership related to health care. Leadership is the ability to achieve exceptional results by transforming the organization and developing people to create the future (Xxxxxx et al, 2010). Further, it is the ability to influence others, with or without authority and develop a vision that motivates others to move with a passion toward a common goal. A function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential (Xxxxxx et al, 2010; Xx-Xxxxx, 2013).   • Managing Your Money in Multiple Currencies When you open your account, it is configured for use with the opening currency of your account. The opening currency of your account is Euro (EUR). We may configure your account further so that you can use it to store money and send and receive payments in currencies other than the opening currency of your account. If you hold a PayPal balance, we may allow you to convert it to balance in another currency. If your PayPal balance is not enough to cover the amount of a payment you instruct us to make in a particular currency, we may perform a currency conversion from any PayPal balance in another currency to cover the shortfall. There may be some restrictions on where you can send payments in certain currencies. We may allow you to choose the way in which your account treats and/or converts payments received in currencies other than the opening currency of your account. To receive money in a currency other than the opening currency of your account, it may be necessary to create a balance in that currency or convert the money into another currency that we allow you to hold. Payments in certain currencies can only be received by automatic conversion of the money into another currency that we allow you to hold. If you receive a payment from anyone who doesn’t have a PayPal account and that payment is in a currency which your account is not currently configured to use, we may automatically convert the amount received into a currency that your account is configured to use at the time the payment is made. The base exchange rate is based on rates within the wholesale currency markets on the conversion day or the prior Business Day; or, if required by law or regulation, set at the relevant government reference rate(s).
