00 - Sick Leave and Credits. A Teacher, beginning September 1, who is employed on a full-time basis with the Board, is entitled to twenty (20) days of sick leave for the ensuing year. A Teacher beginning full-time employment at any other time is entitled to two (2) times the number of months, or part thereof, for which the Teacher is employed to a maximum of twenty (20) days. A Teacher employed on a part-time basis with the Board is entitled to the Teacher’s sick leave for ten per cent (10%) of the periods of instruction and supervision specified in the Agreement for the Teacher’s employment in any one school year in respect of the Teacher’s absence from duty on account of sickness.

00 - Sick Leave and Credits. A Member, beginning September 1, who is employed on a full-time basis with the Board, is entitled to twenty (20) days (one hundred [100] hours) of sick leave for the ensuing year. A Member beginning full-time employment at any other time is entitled to two (2) times (ten [10] hours times) the number of months, or part thereof, for which the Member is employed to a maximum of twenty (20) days (one hundred [100] hours). This allocation shall be pro-rated for Part-Time teachers.

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date. Upon request, an employee will be advised in writing of the balance of their sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Charges An employee using sick leave shall be charged for only the number of hours that the employee was scheduled to work during the period of sick leave. Holidays that occur during sick leave periods shall be paid as a holiday and not charged as a sick leave day.

  • Sick Leave Allowance Faculty with a full-time assignment shall accrue sick leave at the rate of eight

  • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:

  • Vacation and Sick Leave Administration (a) for the purposes of administration of clauses 34.11 and 34.12, where an employee does not work the same number of hours each week, the normal workweek shall be the weekly average calculated on a monthly basis.

  • Sick Leave Donations Employees in the Unit as well as officers above the rank of sergeant and other non-bargaining unit employees in the Police Department may donate sick leave for the purpose of providing authorized sick leave to any Unit member who has exhausted all accrued annual, compensatory and sick leave. Sick leave means leave earned under Section A. of this Article. The procedures governing donation of sick leave followed in implementing the Sick Leave Donor Program established by the predecessor Agreement between the parties shall remain in effect, except as provided in Section P of this Article. Where the FOP has an established leave donation agreement with another bargaining unit within Xxxxxxxxxx County, the employer agrees to honor the agreement pursuant to the applicable contractual requirements of the bargaining unit and transfer sick leave as requested.   • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Sick Leave Benefits Sick leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits.

  • Use of Sick Leave Credits An employee may draw from the employee’s sick leave credits in conjunction with Workers’ Compensation payments to equal, but not exceed, the employee’s regular daily rate of pay. When the insurance company makes payment, the Town shall be reimbursed for that portion of sick leave covered by insurance and the employee will be re-credited with the proportional amount of sick leave. An employee may not use vacation or personal leave credits to supplement Workers’ Compensation.
