Wage or salary. The participant’s wage or salary for a given year, excluding bonuses, overtime pay, honoraria, accommodation and meal allowances, isolation pay or any lump-sum payments. However, additional income such as overtime pay and other bonuses are included when calculating the wage or salary when they are part of the participant’s regular remuneration. Any lump-sum payments provided for under the collective agreement between the F.P.P.S.C.Q. and the C.P.N.C. are also considered part of the wage or salary. Xxxxxx also includes any amount paid by a college to a teaching professional who is in charge of a sports team. For an employee who is eligible in accordance with article 2.1.7, the participant’s salary is that used or that would have been used for calculating Long-Term Disability Insurance benefits had he or she not been rehabilitated.

More Definitions of Wage or salary

Wage or salary means the earnings of an employee that does not include a travelling or subsistence allowance or any payment in respect of overtime, or any bonus or other like benefit;
Wage or salary. The participant's wage or salary, as defined in the group insurance contract, in force at the time of his or her retirement.

  • Leave Salary means the monthly amount paid by the University to an employee who is on leave.

  • Normal salary means the salary that would be paid to a participating employee if that person was not participating in a Plan and includes salary expressed as an annual rate, fortnightly rate, weekly rate, daily rate or hourly rate.   • Annual Base Salary shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3(a).

  • 414(s) Compensation means any definition of compensation that satisfies the nondiscrimination requirements of Code Section 414(s) and the Regulations thereunder. The period for determining 414(s) Compensation must be either the Plan Year or the calendar year ending with or within the Plan Year. An Employer may further limit the period taken into account to that part of the Plan Year or calendar year in which an Employee was a Participant in the component of the Plan being tested. The period used to determine 414(s) Compensation must be applied uniformly to all Participants for the Plan Year.

  • Total Compensation means the cash and noncash dollar value earned by the executive during the Subcontractor’s preceding fiscal year and includes the following (for more information see 17 CFR 229.402(c)(2)):

  • Base Salary Amount means the greater of the Executive’s annual base salary (a) at the rate in effect on the Termination Date and (b) at the highest rate in effect at any time during the 180-day period prior to a Change in Control, and will include all amounts of the Executive’s base salary that are deferred under any qualified or non-qualified employee benefit plan of the Company or any other agreement or arrangement.

  • Monthly Base Salary means 1/12th of the greater of (i) Executive’s annual base salary (excluding incentive pay, premium pay, commissions, overtime, bonuses and other forms of variable compensation) as in effect on the date of a Change in Control Termination or a Covered Termination, as applicable, or (ii) in the case of a Change in Control Termination, Executive’s annual base salary (excluding incentive pay, premium pay, commissions, overtime, bonuses and other forms of variable compensation) as in effect on the date of a Change in Control.

  • Vacation Year means the twelve (12) month period commencing on the first (1st) day of April in each calendar year and concluding on the thirty-first (31st) day of March of the following calendar year.

  • Accrued Compensation means an amount which shall include all amounts earned or accrued through the "Termination Date" (as hereinafter defined) but not paid as of the Termination Date, including (i) base salary, (ii) reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the Executive on behalf of the Company during the period ending on the Termination Date, (iii) vacation pay and (iv) bonuses and incentive compensation (other than the "Pro Rata Bonus" (as hereinafter defined)).

  • disability living allowance means a disability living allowance under section 71 of the SSCBA;

  • Termination Compensation means a monthly cash amount equal to one-twelfth ( 1/12th) of the highest amount of the annual cash compensation (including cash bonuses and other cash-based compensation, including for these purposes amounts earned or payable whether or not deferred) received by Executive during any one of the three (3) calendar years immediately preceding the calendar year in which Executive’s Termination Date occurs; provided, that if the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year exceeds the highest amount of the annual cash compensation received by Executive during any one of the immediately preceding three (3) consecutive calendar years, the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year shall be deemed to be Executive’s highest amount of annual cash compensation. In no event shall Executive’s Termination Compensation include equity-based compensation (e.g., income realized as a result of Executive’s exercise of non-qualified stock options or other stock based benefits).

  • Base Period Income is an amount equal to Executive's "annualized includable compensation" for the "base period" as defined in Sections 280G(d)(1) and (2) of the Code and the regulations adopted thereunder. Generally, Executive's "annualized includable compensation" is the average of Executive's annual taxable income from Company for the "base period," which is the five calendar years prior to the year in which the Change of Control occurs. These concepts are complicated and technical and all of the rules set forth in the applicable regulations apply for purposes of this Agreement.
