Taking of Long Service Leave. (a) The employer shall give to each employee at least one month's notice of the date from which it is proposed that the employee's long service leave shall be given and taken. Such leave shall be taken as soon as practicable having regard to the needs of the facility, or, where the employer and the employee agree, such leave may be postponed to an agreed date.

(a) Long service leave will be taken at a time convenient to the Employer but not less than thirty days’ notice will be given to each employee of the day on which their long service leave commences, except in cases where the employee and the Employer agree to a lesser period of notice or in other exceptional circumstances.

Taking of Long Service Leave. (a) Long service leave can be taken as one continuous period, or separate periods. The minimum period of leave shall be one (1) week and leave shall be taken in week blocks. Employees should apply in writing to take long service leave as per Xxxxx Xxxxxx Village’s policies and procedures.

Taking of Long Service Leave. 36.4.1 After an Employee has completed an initial seven years’ continuous service with the Employer, they may take any of their accumulated or accrued LSL, according to the entitlement prescribed in 36.2, at a time of their choosing, subject to: approval of the Director, with consideration of organisational requirements; or the Employee giving at least six month’s written notice of such leave to the Director.

If agreement cannot be reached, then we may decide when you are to take long service leave giving you at least 3 months written notice of this date.

LSL must be applied for with appropriate notice in advance (see General Conditions of Leave Clause 16 and is approved by the line manager having regard to the needs of the section or unit. LSL will generally be taken in one period but may be taken in two or more periods in any year providing each period is for a minimum of 2 weeks. An employee may take LSL at full pay or half pay.
