Griever definition

Griever means the employee concerned, the Union or the Company. The "Union" is the organization of employees recognized by the Company for the purpose of collective negotiations. The "Supervisor" is the employee's immediate superior. The "Grievance Committee" shall be comprised of two Company representatives and two Union representatives and when necessary outside consultants may assist the committee.
Griever means the person who initiated the grievance process.
Griever means the Association, the Board or academic staff member having a grievance.

  • If the Griever or the Union fails to process a grievance to the next step in the grievance procedure within the time limits specified, they shall not be deemed to have prejudiced their position on any future grievance.

  • All correspondence pertaining to the grievance procedure shall be in writing and forwarded to the Griever and to the Union as prescribed in Article 22.04 and to the Director of Human Resources.

  • A grievance may be brought by any employee (with the Union's consent) covered by this Agreement with the appropriate Unit Griever.

  • A Staff Representative of the Union and the Griever may be present at this meeting if requested by either Party.
