WORK YEAR FOR TEACHERS. A. 1. The in-school work year for classroom teachers employed on a 10-month basis work-year shall not exceed one hundred eighty-four (184) days. WORK YEAR FOR TEACHERS. C-1. The work year for personnel in Unit A shall be 183 days. The first school day for students shall be the Tuesday following Labor Day in September. All Unit A members shall report to work on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the week preceding Labor Day. One of these days shall be for classroom preparation and the other two (2) days shall be for Unit A members to participate in professional development and other activities as determined by the school and/or school district. The Friday of the week preceding Labor Day shall not be a workday for teachers. In addition thereto, the school calendar shall include not more than five (5) days for inclement weather. In order to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of professional development and other district- wide activities, on days when educators are to report to a full day of district-wide professional development or other district-wide activities, the school district may designate a single time between 7:40 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. for all unit members to report to work. The school district shall provide at least one month notice of any such change. C-2. THE WORK YEAR FOR PERSONNEL IN UNIT B WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 126. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime as provided for elsewhere in this contract. 127. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement.
