Vacation in Lieu of Holidays. EMPLOYEES who are required to work on a rotating shift schedule and/or whose assignment normally requires them to work holidays and who do not receive overtime or compensatory time off shall receive, in addition to the vacation specified in Article 7, Section A, seventy-six and three-tenths (76.3) hours (2.93 hours accrued bi-weekly) of additional vacation in lieu for the fourteen (14) holidays. EMPLOYEES covered under this section shall receive additional in lieu hours for any holiday proclaimed by the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of California and granted by the City Council to personnel not governed under this section.

Vacation in Lieu of Holidays. Certain designated classes assigned shift work shall receive, in addition to the vacation specified in Article 7, Section A.2., one hundred forty-four (144) hours of vacation in lieu of holidays. These classes are: Animal Control Officer Police Dispatcher Police Services Officer Public Safety Communications Operator Supervising Police Dispatcher In addition, classes covered under this section shall receive an additional in lieu of shift hours for any one- time holiday proclaimed by the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of California and granted by the City Council to all City EMPLOYEES. Leave granted under this section shall be taken in accordance with Article 7, Section A and used within twelve months from the date accrued.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. Should the Hospital be required to observe an additional paid holiday as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Hospital shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Hospital's obligation to provide the number of paid holidays as noted above remains unchanged.

  • List of Holidays a) The Employer recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Easter Monday Boxing Day Victoria Day Civic Holiday (deferred to Christmas Shutdown) Canada Day Plus, any other day(s) declared or proclaimed as a Statutory Holiday by the Federal or Provincial Government. The Employer shall post a list no later than December 15th of each year stating on which day the Civic Holiday and any other deferred holiday will be observed.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Special Holidays A Special Holiday is a holiday declared a holiday by the University for its employees other than a Saturday, Sunday, General (Statutory) Holiday or day declared by the University to be in lieu of a Statutory Holiday. The rate of pay for the Special Holiday shall be that which the employee would have received if she/he had worked.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:
