Union Social Fund. (01) The Hospital agrees that on the first December deduction date in each calendar year, a deduction of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) will be made from those employees for whom a dues deduction is being made, and for whom a wage payment is being prepared on that date. The amount deducted will be forwarded as one payment to the Treasurer of the union to be used for the Union Social Fund. Union Social Fund. Where a Hospital and a Local Union have reached a settlement of all Local Issues, and the form in which their agreed issues are to appear in the collective agreement is inconsistent with the foregoing agreement of the central parties, than the local parties may re-open negotiations for the sole purpose of ensuring that the form of their collective agreement is consistent with the foregoing. Any difficulties in this regard shall be submitted to the Implementation Committee for resolution.

  • Living Wage Ordinance CONTRACTOR shall comply with the Living Wage Ordinance, LAAC Section 10.37 et seq., as amended from time to time. CONTRACTOR further agrees that it shall comply with federal law proscribing retaliation for union organizing. Any subcontract entered into by CONTRACTOR for work to be performed under this Contract must include an identical provision.

  • Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (a) A Nurse who is injured while at work and as a result of such injury is certified by a medical doctor as unfit to complete the working day, shall receive pay at the regular rate for time lost on the day that such injury is sustained and no deduction will be made from sick leave credits with respect to that particular working day.

  • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union recognize the role of the joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe and healthful workplace. The parties agree that a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established for each Employer covered by this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall govern itself in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee shall be as between the Employer and the Union, with equal representation, and with each party appointing its own representatives. Representatives of the Union shall be chosen by the Union membership or appointed by the Union. All minutes of the meetings of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee will be recorded in a mutually agreeable format and will be sent to the Union. The Union further agrees to actively pursue with the other Health Care Unions a Joint Union Committee for the purposes of this Article. The Employer agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Employer members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently.   • Contractors Pollution Liability Insurance (If Applicable $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate or whatever amount is acceptable to the City for any exposure to “hazardous materials” as this term is defined in applicable law, including but not limited to waste, asbestos, fungi, bacterial or mold. Lower tier sub-subcontractors, Truckers, Suppliers: Evidence confirming lower tier subcontractors, truckers and suppliers are maintaining valid insurance prior to beginning work on the project to meet the requirements set forth herein on Subcontractor, including but not limited to all additional insured requirements of Subcontractor.   • Corporate Social Responsibility The Parties affirm the importance of each Party encouraging enterprises operating within its Area or subject to its jurisdiction to voluntarily incorporate into their internal policies those internationally recognised standards, guidelines and principles of corporate social responsibility that have been endorsed or are supported by that Party.
