Transitional Protection. A Party shall provide transitional protection for chemical products, including pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals, for which it did not provide product patent protection prior to its implementation of this Agreement, provided the following conditions are satisfied:
Transitional Protection. 1. An employee whose position is identified for elimination as a direct result of reorganization related to BAP Phase I or II shall not be laid off for one (1) year after the effective date of the position elimination. This requirement shall be waived if a bona fide emergency occurs during the one-year period. Such employees shall receive priority for training assistance pursuant to subsection A.5 above.

Transitional Protection. A Party shall provide transitional protection for products embodying subject matter for which product patents were not available prior to February 28, 1992, where the following conditions are satisfied:
Transitional Protection. 8. Subject to the exceptions provided in paragraph 9 of this Article, the Government of Hungary agrees to provide protection in the form of exclusive marketing and manufacturing rights for any U.S. pharmaceutical product that was not eligible for product patent protection in Hungary but is claimed in a U.S. patent, based on a priority filing date on or before the date that is twelve months prior to the date on which patent protection for pharmaceutical products becomes available in Hungary and not earlier than January 1, 1987. The term of such protection shall expire at the same time as the original term of the U.S. patent in which that product is claimed. A request to obtain transitional protection provided under this paragraph must be submitted to the competent Hungarian authority within one year from the date on which patent protection for pharmaceutical products comes into effect in Hungary.
Transitional Protection. 11.1 In the event of this Contract being terminated under clauses 10.2 (ix) to 10.2 (xi) above the Council shall have the right, subject to consultation with the liquidator, receiver or manager as appropriate to assume day to day management of the the Service for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days, or until alternative arrangement have been arranged whichever is earlier, except where a new contractor who is able to enter into a contract with the Council has been found and is able to register with the CQC within one hundred and eighty (180) days of the date of termination of this Contract.
