The Performance and Developmental Review Committees. The Committee for teaching faculty shall be composed of the following: • The Xxxx of Faculty or a designate selected by the Vice-President Academic & Xxxxxxx, as Chairperson of the Committee; • an Assistant Xxxx of the Faculty or equivalent from the Faculty of the faculty member being reviewed, and two Regular faculty members, from the Faculty of the faculty member being reviewed, elected by the Regular faculty members. The Regular faculty members will serve no more than two (2) consecutive years on the committee. The terms of the two faculty members will be staggered to ensure continuity of experience. The Committee for Non-Teaching Faculty shall be composed of the following: • The administrative supervisor or a designate selected by the Vice-President Academic & Xxxxxxx as Chairperson of the Committee; • Two Regular faculty members, one from the Faculty of the faculty member being reviewed and to the extent possible one from the administrative area of the Faculty member being reviewed, elected by the Regular faculty members. The Regular faculty members will serve no more than two (2) consecutive years on the committee. The terms of the two faculty members will be staggered to ensure continuity of experience. The Performance and Developmental Review Committee shall consider the following: • summaries of student course evaluations placed in the Teaching faculty member’s personnel file; • written administrative assessments completed by administrative supervisors for Non-Teaching faculty members; • reports for professional development submitted annually; • current curriculum vitae on file with the University; • a statement or self-evaluation provided by the faculty member of teaching, scholarly and/or professional activities, research, and service to the University and community. The statement may also include faculty member reflections on feedback from previous Developmental Review Committees; • for probationary teaching faculty in the third year, additional materials will be considered including, but not limited to, teaching observations and reports; • other relevant information as determined by the Committee. The Performance and Developmental Review Committee shall produce a report, including: • recommendations for faculty member commendations; and/or • recommendations, regarding any faculty members whose review indicates a need for development or performance improvement in meeting the Faculty objectives and responsibilities outlined in Article 10 and 13 ...

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.

  • Departmental Review If informal resolution of the problem through conciliation and negotiation cannot be effected, an aggrieved person may file a formal complaint with the departmental affirmative action coordinator or other designated official. Such a complaint must be filed on a form provided for this purpose and within five working days after the attempted resolution of the problem by the equal employment opportunity counselor or within twenty-five (25) working days after the date of the alleged discriminatory action, whichever shall first occur. The affirmative action coordinator will decide whether the complaint falls within the jurisdiction of the procedure and accept or reject it. Upon acceptance of the complaint, the affirmative action coordinator shall obtain the notes on the case from the equal employment opportunity counselor; may conduct a prompt, impartial investigation if he deems it necessary; shall explore the possibility of resolving the problem through negotiation or conciliation; shall present findings and recommendations on resolving the complaint to the agency/department head; and within forty-five (45) working days from the date the formal complaint was filed, shall present his written decision, as approved by the agency/department head, to the complainant, with a copy of the complaint and decision to be forwarded to the director of personnel.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Staffing Committee A. Responsibilities. The Nurse Staffing Committee (“NSC”) shall be responsible for determining the Institute’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.

  • Safety Committees Joint employee-elected and Employer appointed safety committees shall be formed in accord with WISHA requirements and following University of Washington policy. The Union is entitled to representation on the University-wide or specific organizational or divisional committees where bargaining unit employees are working. Any department or unit committee also dealing with health and safety issues in work areas shall appropriately involve bargaining unit employees. Participation in safety and health committees, including meeting time, health and safety research, work on committee assignments, seminars, and classes will be considered time worked for all employees in accordance with University policy. Release time must be arranged with supervisors in advance. When the committee makes a recommendation that requires action or approval beyond its scope of authority, the Employer will communicate its disposition of the formal written recommendation within thirty (30) days.

  • Joint Job Evaluation Committee The parties entered into agreement December 17, 1992, to ensure the Joint Gender- Neutral Job Evaluation Plan remains current and operational and to that end endorsed the Joint Gender-Neutral Job Evaluation Maintenance Agreement. The parties agree that a guiding principle for the Committee is that there shall be no discrimination between male and female employees wherein a person of one sex is paid more than a person of the other sex for similar or substantially similar work.

  • SCHOOL STAFF COMMITTEES 1. If the majority of the teaching staff in the school so decide, there shall be established a recognized staff committee in that school.
