Tenure-Track Faculty. Progress Feedback A Department Committee Progress Report, which will form the basis of the Department Committee’s report to the College Committee on its overall assessment of the Faculty Member’s progress toward the granting of Tenure and Promotion to the rank of Associate Professor.
Tenure-Track Faculty. Only bargaining unit members in the Tenured/Tenure-Track classification are eligible for indefinite tenure. Promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor: Bargaining unit members, unless granted an extension as described in Section 4, must be considered for tenure during or before their sixth year in the Tenured/Tenure-Track classification, except for some bargaining unit members employed by the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS). Upon completion of the tenure review, the bargaining unit member must be granted indefinite tenure or be given a year’s timely notice that their appointment will not be continued. Promotion to Associate Professor generally occurs when tenure is granted. Before the end of the Fall term of the academic year prior to the year in which the tenure decision is required, the academic unit will communicate timelines and responsibilities of the tenure review process to candidates who will be eligible in the following year. For most bargaining unit members, this communication will happen in or before the Fall term of their fifth year. Some bargaining unit members employed by CEOAS are reviewed for tenure during promotion to Professor; these bargaining unit members will be informed about the processes for their promotion and tenure at the time of hire. Upon completion of the promotional review from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, the bargaining unit member must be granted promotion or be given a year’s timely notice that their appointment will not be continued.
Tenure-Track Faculty. Tenure-track faculty are faculty members who may become eligible for tenure consistent with the terms of this Agreement. Tenure-track faculty are employed on contracts that are renewable at the option of the University. A new contract may be offered to a tenure- track faculty depending on the performance of the faculty member under an existing or prior contract.
Tenure-Track Faculty. Evaluation of tenure track faculty members shall be conducted annually for the first three years of employment, or until the faculty member receives tenure. The third year of the tenure track evaluation cycle shall be referred to as the Tenure Review year. Additionally, if probation was extended to a fourth year, the fourth year will also be a Tenure Review year.

Tenure-Track Faculty. The following time standards shall be applied by the Employer for written notification of non-reappointment to non-tenured members of the tenure-track faculty:

  • Faculty a. All instructors teaching dual credit courses must meet the College’s academic requirements as outlined by SACSCOC Faculty Credentialing requirements, as determined by the College. All instructors teaching dual credit classes at the School site must be approved and hired as faculty by the College prior to teaching dual credit courses. The faculty credentialing process used by the College for faculty on the College site will apply for faculty on the School site. The College will designate staff in the respective discipline to supervise and evaluate the faculty on the School site using the same or comparable procedures used with faculty on the College site.

  • Students Payments which a student or business apprentice who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • Summer Students a) Summer Students shall not be employed while Employees on Seniority List A or B are on lay off in their respective trades.

  • PROFESSORS, TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution which is recognized by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on any remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Part-Time Faculty A faculty member whose appointment is for a specified period of time and does not meet the full load requirements for an Academic Year as defined herein. Such appointment carries with it no promise or expectation of continued employment. Such appointments are not applicable towards tenure.

  • Training Courses 16.3.1 Training courses will be as described in the Seller’s customer services catalog (the “Seller’s Customer Services Catalog”). The Seller’s Customer Services Catalog also sets forth the minimum and maximum number of trainees per course.   • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.
