Teachers’ School Day. 1. The Teachers’ workday shall be from 7:50 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Dismissal will be at 2:55 p.m. Teachers shall not have specific duties before 8:00 a.m. but they shall be in their classrooms or in the hallways adjacent to their classroom from 7:50 a.m. each day for the purposes of being available to their students and supervising their students and monitoring the halls.

Teachers’ School Day. The teacher's school day shall not exceed (7¼) consecutive hours. The teacher's school day shall start at the time the teacher is required to be at school and shall end at the time the teacher is scheduled to leave school and shall include a lunch period, a preparation period and an average of not more than five (5) hours and twenty (20) minutes of teacher-pupil contact. To assist elementary teachers in the reading assessment process, the Board shall provide “floating” substitute teachers during the first eight weeks of the school year and during the last eight weeks of the school year up to the following number of substitute days per building: Disney 16 Xxxxxx 13 Edison 24 Eisenhower 24 Xxxxxxx 19 Xxxx 27 Xxxxx 17 The Board shall also provide up to one-half of the number of substitute days above per building for reading assessments during the month of January, when only those students below grade level are tested. The scheduling of such substitute teachers shall be done by each building’s PLC. It is understood and agreed that in the event there is a change in the reading assessment process, or in the number of students subject to such assessment, then the Board and Union shall meet to agree upon an appropriate adjustment to the number of substitute days.

  • Teacher Work Day The term of contract for employees shall be one hundred ninety (190) days (maximum one hundred eighty (180) student days). Any extension of the term of contract shall be paid in full day increments and be paid at the rate of one-one hundred ninetieth (1/190) of the regular salary of the employee. The maximum daily hours of work for employees shall be 465 continuous minutes and shall include a minimum of thirty (30) minutes continuous, duty-free lunch period. Assignment of students for a new school year to classrooms and schedules shall be done in a fair and equitable manner to promote a variety of strengths, needs and equal numbers of each classroom. The Administration shall make reasonable effort to ensure that assignments are made collaboratively, considering such issues as special needs, behavior, attendance and academic levels. Collaborative input may include regular and special education staff, para-educators, teaching specialist and administrators. In the event of a change in the student day, the Association will be informed of such change and given an opportunity to respond, provided, however, that exceptions to this section may occur in the event of emergencies or acts of God. The District shall make every reasonable effort to increase the amount of collaboration time available to professional employees within the normal work day. Xxx Xxxxxxxx shall make every reasonable effort to ensure equitable workload distribution and student contact time amongst staff members.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • School Nurses The salary of a nurse with a graduate nursing degree will be 90% of the XX Xxxx of Schedule A. The salary of a nurse with a BS Nursing Degree will be the same as the XX Xxxx of Schedule A.
