Social Media and Electronic Communications. As you are aware, electronic communications cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, I will engage in brief email communications for scheduling or for other specific reasons, but I do not participate in lengthy electronic conversations or email therapy. By extension of the ethical guidelines that prohibit social activities between therapist and client, I do not “friend” clients on social media sites.

Social Media and Electronic Communications. Therapists in this practice utilize email and texting primarily for basic communication with parents, which might include coordinating schedules, providing brief updates, sending monthly invoices, or planning a phone session. If you choose to email, please understand that email is not completely confidential or secure. We do not use email as a means for extensive communication about clinical matters, and we request that you call (rather than email or text) your therapist for cancellations at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. We use social media (i.e. Yahoo groups, Facebook, professional listservs, LinkedIn) for some aspects of professional practice. In order to protect client confidentiality and to maintain the integrity and purpose of the therapist/client relationship, therapists do not “fan,” “friend,” “follow,” or interact with clients or clients’ family members through social media (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.). Therapists utilize texts with clients or parents for scheduling purposes or brief communications. While we do secure our voicemails, and safeguard our emails and phones through HIPAA compliant practices and password protection, we inform you that these communications are not encrypted—therefore not completely private or secure---and do ask that you do not communicate important personal or safety information through those means. The importance of teachers, students and parents engaging, collaborating, learning, and sharing in these digital environments is part of 21st century learning. However, technology and social media also present risks to individuals and organizations if not used appropriately. Social media has many educational benefits but when social media postings violate the law, District policies, or create a substantial disruption to the school community and/or work environment, the administrator administration may have an obligation to respond and take appropriate action, including but not limited to investigation, removal of posts, discipline, and/or referral to law enforcement.   • Electronic Communications Notices and other communications to the Lenders and the L/C Issuer hereunder may be delivered or furnished by electronic communication (including e-mail and Internet or intranet websites) pursuant to procedures approved by the Administrative Agent, provided that the foregoing shall not apply to notices to any Lender or the L/C Issuer pursuant to Article II if such Lender or the L/C Issuer, as applicable, has notified the Administrative Agent that it is incapable of receiving notices under such Article by electronic communication. The Administrative Agent or the Borrower may, in its discretion, agree to accept notices and other communications to it hereunder by electronic communications pursuant to procedures approved by it, provided that approval of such procedures may be limited to particular notices or communications. Unless the Administrative Agent otherwise prescribes, (i) notices and other communications sent to an e-mail address shall be deemed received upon the sender’s receipt of an acknowledgement from the intended recipient (such as by the “return receipt requested” function, as available, return e-mail or other written acknowledgement), provided that if such notice or other communication is not sent during the normal business hours of the recipient, such notice or communication shall be deemed to have been sent at the opening of business on the next business day for the recipient, and (ii) notices or communications posted to an Internet or intranet website shall be deemed received upon the deemed receipt by the intended recipient at its e-mail address as described in the foregoing clause (i) of notification that such notice or communication is available and identifying the website address therefor.

  • Board Member Use of Electronic Communications For purposes of this section, electronic communications includes, without limitation, electronic mail, electronic chat, instant messaging, texting, and any form of social networking. Electronic communications among a majority or more of a Board-quorum shall not be used for the purpose of discussing District business. Email that qualifies under FOIA as a public record will need to be stored pursuant to the Local Records Act, only if it is evidence of the District's organization, function, policies, procedures, or activities or contains informational data appropriate for preservation (Local Records Act, 50 ILCS 205/). An example is any email from a Board officer concerning a decision made in his or her capacity as an officer. If a Board member uses his or her personal email, he or she must copy this type of email to the appropriate District office where it will be stored. If made available, Board members should use their email accounts provided by the District and the District will automatically store the official record messages. The District will delete these official record messages as provided in an applicable, approved retention schedule. Of course, email pertaining to public business that is sent or received by a Board Member using a District-issued device or email address will be subject to FOIA, even if the email does not need to be retained under the Local Records Act.

  • Public Communications Prior to the Closing Date, the Company will not issue any press release or other communication directly or indirectly or hold any press conference with respect to the Company, its condition, financial or otherwise, or the earnings, business, operations or prospects of any of them, or the offering of the Securities, without the prior written consent of the Placement Agent, unless in the reasonable judgment of the Company and its counsel, and after notification to the Placement Agent, such press release or communication is required by law, in which case the Company shall use its reasonable best efforts to allow the Placement Agent reasonable time to comment on such release or other communication in advance of such issuance.

  • Electronic Copies Each of the parties hereto shall be entitled to rely on delivery of a facsimile or PDF copy of this Agreement and acceptance by each such party of any such facsimile or PDF copy shall be legally effective to create a valid and binding agreement between the parties hereto in accordance with the terms hereof.

  • PUBLIC COMMUNICATION Neither the Contractor nor any of its Staff shall make any statement to the press or issue through any media of communication any statement bearing on the Services performed or data collected under this Agreement, without the prior written approval of OSC.

  • ELECTRONIC CONTRACTING The parties agree that if this Contract is transmitted electronically neither party shall contest the validity of this Contract, or any acknowledgement thereof, on the basis that this Contract or acknowledgement contains an electronic signature.
