Return From a Leave Without Pay. If an employee fails to return to County employment at the end of a leave of absence without pay, and no extensions of the leave are granted, the employee must submit a resignation from County service. Failure to contact the Sheriff or the Human Resources Department at the end of the leave shall be grounds for labeling the separation from County Service a voluntary quit.
