Responsibility for Performance Appraisals. Performance appraisals shall be prepared and presented by the worker's immediate supervisor/manager. The immediate supervisor is solely responsible for the content of the performance appraisal, however, if the worker is provided daily work direction by someone other than the immediate supervisor, that person may provide information to the supervisor for the purposes of completing a well- rounded performance appraisal. The immediate supervisor is responsible for the full content of the performance appraisal. It is the responsibility of the immediate supervisor to present the performance appraisal. No other management personnel should be present except as provided for under 13.3.5. The next level supervisor is only responsible to ensure that the performance appraisal process has been followed. The evaluation form shall be modified to include a line for signature of the appropriate manager, indicating knowledge of the evaluation.
