Premium Pay for Working on a Holiday. Employees who are assigned to work a designated holiday shift with the exception of Christmas Eve/Holiday Leave Day with Pay shall receive compensation of one and one-half (1 1/2) times their REGULAR RATE OF PAY for hours worked on the holiday. (Employees who self-select - where there is not a business need and when done without supervisor approval - to work on a holiday do so at straight time). Eligible employees who work on a holiday receive their pay for working on the holiday and may save their holiday benefit hours (8 hours for FULL-TIME employees) for use at another time and/or may cash out the holiday benefit hours. Eligible employees who are assigned to work the Christmas Eve holiday shall receive compensation of one (1) time their REGULAR RATE OF PAY for hours worked on that holiday. Compensation for holiday hours assigned/worked shall be provided either in compensated time off or cash payment as approved by the EMPLOYER.

Premium Pay for Working on a Holiday. Employees scheduled to work on a Port observed holiday shall receive one and one half times regular rate of pay for hours worked on a Port designated holiday. Employees who work on the actual holiday of Christmas Day, New Year’s Day or Independence Day shall receive one and one half times regular rate of pay for hours worked, if different from the Port’s designated day of observance for those three holidays. In no case shall an employee be eligible for holiday premium pay for more than one day for each of the ten holidays.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday subject to Article 16.04. In addition, if the employee qualifies in accordance with Article 16.02 above the employee will receive a lieu day off with pay in the amount of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the employee's normal daily hours of work.   • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:

  • Overtime on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is required to work overtime on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she will receive compensation equal to 3.33 times her regular rate as follows:

  • Work on a Holiday If an employee works on an approved holiday, in addition to their holiday pay, they will be compensated at the rate of two (2) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday.

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.
