PORTABLE SICK LEAVE. The Company shall contribute $1.54 per week per employee into the Incolink Portable Sick leave scheme. If the Company has another existing sick leave agreement in place then the above requirement does not apply. This agreement needs to be attached to this document for certification.

PORTABLE SICK LEAVE. The Company is, and will remain during the life of this agreement, a participating employer in the Construction Industry Complying Portable Sick Leave Pay Scheme (“Incolink PSL Scheme”) Incolink is trustee, and all the employees of the Company within the scope of this agreement will be enrolled in the Incolink PSL Scheme and be entitled to sick leave benefits in accordance with the terms of the trust deed. The Company shall pay contributions to the Incolink PSL Scheme on behalf of each employee on a weekly basis in accordance with the trust deed. If Incolink nominates any other fund under this clause, the Company shall pay contributions to that fund on behalf of each employee on a weekly basis and in accordance with the constituting documents of that other fund. References in this clause to “Incolink PSL Scheme” include a reference to another fund for comparable purposes nominated by Incolink as a fund which supersedes the Incolink Number 1 Fund.
PORTABLE SICK LEAVE. The employer agrees to support an industry wide Portable Sick Leave Scheme.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use sick leave credits for family illness or injury only if the employee must provide direct care to an immediate family member. For purposes of family sick leave, “immediate family member” will mean the employee’s parent, spouse, or child, including step-child and xxxxxx child.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Sick Leave Sharing The program permits employees to donate sick leave to a fellow employee who is suffering from or has a relative or household member suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical, or mental condition which has caused or is likely to cause the employee to take leave without pay or to terminate employment Definition of Terms used in this program:
