Political Time Sample Clauses

Political Time. Licensee shall, with respect to the Station, oversee and take ultimate responsibility with respect to the provision of equal opportunities, lowest unit charge, and reasonable access to political candidates, and compliance with the political broadcasting provisions of the FCC Requirements. Programmer shall cooperate with Licensee in complying with such provisions, and shall supply promptly to Licensee such information reasonably requested by Licensee for such purposes. Licensee, in consultation with Programmer, will develop a statement which discloses its political broadcasting rates and policies to political candidates, and Programmer will follow those respective policies in the sale of political programming an advertising for the Station. Programmer shall provide any rebates due to political advertisers and release advertising availabilities to Licensee during the Broadcasting Period sufficient to permit Licensee to comply with political broadcasting provisions of the FCC Requirements. Revenues received by Licensee as a result of any such release of advertising time shall be for the account of Programmer.

Programmer shall cooperate with Licensee as Licensee complies with its political broadcast responsibilities, and shall supply such information promptly to Licensee as may be necessary to comply with the political time record keeping and lowest unit charge requirements of federal law. To the extent that Licensee believes necessary, in Licensee's sole discretion, Programmer shall release advertising availabilities to Licensee during the term of this Agreement to permit Licensee to comply with the political broadcast rules of the FCC and the Communications Laws; provided however, that revenues received by Licensee as a result of any such release of advertising time shall promptly be remitted to Programmer.

Programmer shall release advertising availabilities to Licensee during the Broadcasting Period as necessary to permit Licensee to comply with the political broadcast rules of the FCC and the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.
Political Time. Licensee shall retain responsibility to comply with the FCC's political programming rules. Programmer shall cooperate with Licensee to assist Licensee in complying with the FCC's political programming rules. Licensee shall promptly supply to Programmer, and Programmer shall promptly supply to Licensee, such information, including all inquiries concerning the broadcast of political advertising, as may be necessary to comply with FCC rules and policies, including the lowest unit rate, equal opportunities, reasonable access, political file and related requirements of federal law. Licensee, in consultation with Programmer, shall develop a statement which discloses its political broadcasting policies to political candidates, and Programmer shall follow those policies and rates in the sale of political programming and advertising.
Political Time. At least ninety (90) days before the start of any primary or general election campaign, Programmer shall clear with Licensee the rates to be charged political candidates for public office to be sure that the rate is in conformance with applicable law and policy. Programmer shall provide Licensee with access to all its books and records regarding the pricing of advertising sold on any of the Stations in order to confirm that the political rate is correct. Within twenty-four (24) hours of any request to purchase time on any of the Stations on behalf of a candidate for public office or to support or urge defeat of an issue on an election ballot, Programmer shall report the request, and its disposition, to Licensee so that appropriate records can be placed in the public inspection file for the Stations. In the event that Programmer fails to provide adequate broadcast time for the broadcast of programming or advertising by political candidates, Licensee shall have the right to preempt Programmer programming to make time available to these political candidates.

  • Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not command or solicit in a coercive fashion from any other employee direct or indirect participation in any political activity or enforce or solicit in a coercive fashion contribution for any political party, organization, or candidate. An employee shall retain his or her right to vote and freely express opinions on all political subjects. An employee shall not be prohibited from participation in local community activities or from holding public office in the community in which the employee resides, provided that such activity does not conflict with Section 3.01 of the Rules and Regulations for Personnel Administration (and the Federal Hatch Act to the extent that employees of agencies receiving federal funds are subject thereto).

  • Indirect Political Event An Indirect Political Event shall mean one or more of the following acts or events:

  • Political Leave Any employee who is a declared candidate for public office shall have the right to a leave of absence without pay for a reasonable period to campaign for the election. Such leave is subject to the conditions governing special leaves of absence without pay contained herein.

  • Political Activity Prohibited a. None of the funds, materials, property or services provided directly or indirectly under this contract shall be used for partisan political activity.

  • Voluntary Political Action Fund Deduction During the term of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct the sum specified from the pay of each member of the Union who voluntarily executes a political action contribution wage assignment authorization. When filed with the Employer, the authorization form will be honored in accordance with its terms. The amount deducted and roster of all employees using payroll deduction for voluntary political action contributions will be promptly transmitted to the Union by a separate check payable to its order. Upon issuance and transmission of a check to the Union, the Employer's responsibility shall cease with respect to such deductions. The Union and each employee authorizing the assignment of wages for the payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertakes to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless from all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise against the Employer for or on account of any deduction made from the wages of such employee. The parties recognize that the Union is obligated under the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) to reimburse UW for its reasonable cost of administering the COPE check off in the parties' Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Employer and the Union agree that one-quarter of one percent (.25%) of all amounts checked off is a reasonable amount to cover the Employer's costs of administering this check off. Accordingly, the parties agree that the Employer will retain one-quarter of one percent (.25%) of all amounts deducted pursuant to the COPE check off provision in the parties' Collective Bargaining Agreement to reimburse the Employer for its reasonable costs of administering the check off.

  • Non-Political Event A Non-Political Event shall mean one or more of the following acts or events:

  • Political Contributions The Company has not directly or indirectly, (a) made any unlawful contribution to any candidate for public office, or failed to disclose fully any contribution in violation of law, or (b) made any payment to any federal, state, local, or foreign governmental officer or official, or other person charged with similar public or quasi-public duties, other than payments required or permitted by the laws of the United States or any other such jurisdiction.
