Parental Leave and Paid Parental Leave. Upon application parental leave is available according to the terms and conditions of the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Xxx 0000 and its amendment, which provides eligible parents up to 52 weeks unpaid leave. The Parental Leave and Employment Protection Xxx 0000 and its amendments provides eligible parents with a tax-funded payment.   • Paid Parental Leave 44.2 In addition, if the Employee is entitled to paid parental leave under the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010 (Cth) (PPL Act) as the primary carer of the child:
